Y6 have had lots of fun this afternoon. We have been creating our own festive designs from icing sugar to decorate the biscuits.
These delicious treats will be on sale at the Christmas Fair tomorrow.
As part of our work in Science, we have been working in the school grounds to collect and then classify different plant species.
We found many different varieties of plants: oak leaves, sycamore leaves, silver birch trees, lavender, ivy and moss.
Y6 have been learning all about life in the trenches in World War 1.
We were inspired to create our own poppies for Remembrance Day.

As well as enjoying reading the novel Wonder, this week Y6 have been working on their acting and performance skills. We went into the hall and worked in small groups to recreate the infamous. ‘Halloween betrayal’ scene.

This week Y6 completed a range of puzzles and challenges to help them to apply their skills when using negatives numbers.
They had lots of fun using the dice, spinners and clue cards.
