We had such fantastic sentences last week I thought we could tell a mini story this week.
You tiptoe down the stairs on Christmas Eve to see if Father Christmas has been. As you peer around the door you see a box wobbling under the tree and hear a rustling sound amongst the branches. You approach timidly and this is what you see:
What came out of the box and what is it doing now?
A shiny, metal dalek was zooming around the room, waving his hands and talking in a whiny, squeaky voice. “Give me your mince pies or I will exterminate you!” he cried. Those yummy mince pies were for Santa so I quickly plopped the box over his head and slid the lid back on. I tied the pretty, red bow tightly and pushed the box to the back of the tree. I ran back upstairs and hid under my covers!
The box was bouncing with a purring sound echoing around the room. What could it be? The sound got louder and louder as I approached. I opened the box and two little eyes looked at me. it was a kitten or so it seemed…

Suddenly a little, green elf wearing a blue blazer jumped out
of a big white box. He did a front flip onto the top of the
Christmas tree and took the fairy off. He then dragged the fairy
into the magical box and turned her into an elf. Nobody saw her
again!

Suddenly a little,red elf wearing a green blazer leaped out of a big, white box. He did a forward twist onto the top of the enormous, green Christmas tree and took santa off. He then pulled the santa into the huge , white, magical box and turned him into a pixie and nobody saw him again.
Or did they?

I saw two gold and black eyes which wer electric.I heard a croaky sound going ruf ruf! I saw a glimps of a robot dog.I jumped, the dog ran and smashed the door open it was turning evil, I ran to the kitchen and hid in the cupboard. It was going to be a bad bad Christmas !

I ran down the stairs because I heard a bang under the christmas tree.I saw one of the presents open, I was a bit worried I looked up and saw a little,small,red nut cracker standing on top of a bauble he was wobbling and SUDDENLY he fell down on the ground I wanted to catch him but I didn’t know what he would do.So I put him back in the box and tied a ribbon around the box and I closed the door and of cause I sleept on the sofa just in case he come out the box again.

Suddenly Minecraft Steve sprung out of the box like a jack in the box. He sprang so fast he bounced off the Christmas tree and landed in the colourful fish tank. Goldie the goldfish hid in the white, bubbling clam. It’s going to be an exciting Christmas!

Haker jumped out pulling Dodge out of the box having a piggy back from his big sister all from CBBC.

Hagrid came leading the 3 headed dog out.
Then Harry potter came out off his closet but they never went back.

As I walked down the stairs I heard a little “ruff ruff” noise and caught a glimpse of a pale, white box. It started to riggle so I decided to open it AND a little, cute, brown puppy popped out! I felt so excited.

I couldn’t sleep. I wanted to see Father Christmas and was waiting for him to come. It was then I heard a noise. I tiptoed downstairs and when I opened the living room door I saw a box wobbling under the tree. I opened the present to find football boots that were kicking the box. I thought they must be magic boots so I picked them up and put them on. I ran outside to get my football and I started to do brilliant skills and lots of shots at the goal, I couldn’t miss. I then started to get tired but my boots wouldn’t let me stop. They really were magic boots. When I finally got my boots off I put them back in the box. I sneaked back upstairs and very quickly went to sleep.
Wow, those boots sound great – come on Father Christmas, sort it out!

I crept downstairs on Christmas morning and opened the door. I saw a flashing, yellow light rising from a box under the tree. I peered into the box and a racing car shot out and started speeding around the room. I tried to catch it but it was too fast. Eventually it started to slow down because the batteries were running out. I picked up the box and threw it over the car and quickly put the lid back on. When it was quiet I opened the box and to my surprise the box was empty! Was it a dream or was it not?

I woke up when I heard a bang! I crept downstairs then I found a Christmas hat on the floor. I wondered who’s hat it was. I then saw a trail of mince pie crumbs and suddenly I heard zzzzzzzz zzzzzzz snoring from the lounge. It was Father Christmas fast asleep on the couch and there was a box next to him with no lid on. I heard vroom vroom from under the stairs and I went to look and I saw a remote control car it must have been a present that escaped. The car was shiny and blue with flashing bright lights. It had made a mess and ran over the mince pie. I went back upstairs quietly and tried to go back to sleep but was too excited.

When I opened the big, white box a naughty elf dressed all in red and green jumped out and whizzed off towards the kitchen. I raced after him with the box. When I got to the kitchen the elf was reaching for the turkey and at the last second, I dived across the kitchen and plopped the box over his head. I shoved the lid on and tied the ribbon tight.
I needed to get him back to the North Pole, so quickly wrote a letter saying; “To Santa, I found a naughty elf hiding in a present. Could you please come and pick him up. With love, Regan xxx”
After that, I left it on the box under the Christmas tree and raced into my room and dived under the covers.

I crept downstairs to see what could be making the noise. The box that Daddy had brought home was open but nothing was inside. There was a rustling in the tree. What could it be? The Christmas Turkey! The farmer mustn’t have killed it! I poked my head through the branches and as soon as it saw me we ran round the house as I tried to catch it. Mayhem!
By the time everyone came down on Christmas morning there were baubles and tinsel everywhere. The turkey and I were fast asleep on the couch!
That year we had beans on toast for Christmas Dinner and I now have a pet turkey, his name is …….. CRACKERS!
