Great Woodfield Bake Off

recipe-image-legacy-id--364199_12-2On Friday the 27th of May the Great Woodfield Bake Off will take place in the school hall, followed by the usual coffee morning.  There is a KS2 category, so if any of the Year 3 children would like to enter they should collect an application from the office.

From the cakes provided for our class fundraiser, I know we have some fantastic bakers amongst the Year 3 mums and dads, so we would also love to see some entries into the adult category too.

Good luck!

Underwater Street

On Thursday the 26th of May, Year 3 will be travelling to Underwater Street in Liverpool.  Any children who do not have a school dinner should bring their packed lunch and drink in a named bag with disposable packaging.  Children who usually have a school dinner will have a packed lunch provided for them.  If you would prefer to pack a lunch for them on that day, please inform the office, otherwise one will be made for them.  We will be inside all day so the children will not need a waterproof coat.  They will wear their Woodfield uniform as usual.  If you have any queries please let me know.

Design Technology – Sandwiches

img-thing CHANGE OF DATE – SANDWICH MAKING WILL TAKE PLACE 27.5.16

Due to the polling day the sandwich making has been delayed slightly.  The children will design their sandwich next week, then bring home a list of the ingredients they will need to make their ultimate sandwich on the afternoon of the 27th of May.  Apologies for this change of date.

Mrs Fairhurst

This term we will be designing and making our own healthy sandwiches.  We will be trying different breads and fillings and then making our own perfect sandwich, based on our favourite foods.  I would be grateful if you could return the permission slip as soon as possible, thank you.

MUSEUM VISIT

Just a note to let you know that we will be attending the Museum of Wigan Life on Friday the 18th of March.  We will be leaving directly after registration then walking across the road to the Wigan Life Centre for our swimming lesson directly after.  We will be back at lunchtime as usual.

Kodu

The children have been enjoying learning how to program in Kodu.    If they would like to practise at home it can be downloaded from www.kodugamelab.com

I will be running a parent and child training session soon.
