A thank you letter to the National Waterways Museum

Dear Sam, Bill and Nigel,

My name is Alexander and I am in Year 4 at Woodfield Primary School. Thank you for allowing me and my class to wander around The National Waterways Museum. I thought  it was epic! I particularly liked the boats because I was surprised how they lived on the barges.

The reason I loved going on the barges is I have never been on one, although my granddad owns a small boat.  As a family, we have been out for days, weekends and holidays all over England.

Thank you for a wonderful time, I hope to see you again soon.

Yours Faithfully,

Alexander

National Waterways Museum

Year 4 spent today in Ellesmere Port at the National Waterways Museum. In the morning, the children were split into two groups to attend workshops on geology and forces. Both of these were fantastic learning experiences, led by the superb volunteers. After dinner, we had the opportunity to explore the site on our own, discovering all about the history of canals and the boats that use them. Every single child was a credit to Woodfield. Well done Y4!
