Well done to all the bloggers, I loved reading your stories about your little dragon, although I am slightly worried he is lurking around our classroom somewhere!
This week I’d like to practise our use of speech marks. Can you think what this giraffe might be saying? Remember that they go around only what is being said and you must include punctuation inside them, e.g.
The giraffe whispered “I’m stuck!”
As an extra challenge, try to find a more powerful verb than “said”.
The tall giraffe called “HELP”! because he climbed up the tree and he thought there were beautiful crunchy leaves up there. No-one came to help him and it had all ready been 4 hours ,then he got tired so he just drifted off to sleep ,an hour later he woke up with a big bang then he just saw every body looking at him, they thought he fainted but he didn’t which good then he muttered “What are you all doing did you knock me off this tree because it was a pretty big bang” then they all started giggling!
I think I would giggle too Sally! Well done!
The yellow and brown, spotty giraffe is shouting, “Help, help, get me down! I got chased and I was scared so I climbed up the tree. Now I’m up here I’m terrified, not such a good idea after all!”

The giraffe whispered “help, get me down from here. There is a mouse running round the tree.” The tiger bellowed with laughter. “Don’t be so silly you are way bigger than that tiny thing.”

The giraffe shouted “Hey, I can see our house from up this colossle tree. Come up here because it’s a beautiful view!
Why are you not coming up, are you scared?Do you want to make a paper airplane but you can’t because I am not coming down until forever!”.Then his mate cried ” Oh you will come down when the hunters set off the super fast, brown dogs , oh wait they already set them off,one of the sharped theethed dogs chased you up the tall tree!”Then giraffe loadly whispered “well that is true and I know his name and that was Angry Pie!Wait I’ll check again because it’s their camp site!All the people have guns and they are surrounding you!HA!HA!HA! you felt for it we all tricked you and the people are all of the cheeky monky’s of the king and now I’ve tricked you lot I get to visit the Queen Victoria!”His friends responded by saying “WELL DONE, can we go and see Queen Victoria aswell” The giraffe replied “You can’t but I can only invite one giraffe and that is all of you because the king just called me to say that I can only invite my three best friends and that is all of you and of course the cheeky monky’s.

Garfield the gangly giraffe screamed “I’m a celebrity get me out of here!”

The tall, hungry giraffe was playing hide and seek with his kind friends the hippo and the crocodile. It was giraffe’s turn to hide. “I’ve got an idea” he thought. He went to hide but suddenly he saw a colossal tree that looked like it had some lovely, delicious leaves on the top. So he climbed carefully up the tree until he got to the top. Something terrible happened then. There were no leaves and he was stuck!! He shouted “HELP, help me”. But no one heard him. He was stuck and his friends couldn’t find him. He had definitely won the hide and seek game that day!! .

During a game of hide and seek Neville the giraffe thought he had found the perfect hiding place. “They’ll never find me up here,” he muttered to himself.

The spotty, brown giraffe is muttering, “cracking view from up here, but I’m scared of heights. Maybe I should consider climbing down! “

The giraffe screeched “help help a pigeon is smacking me on my
back. Ouch Ouch you’re making my back sore!” Shouted the colossal giraffe. He kicked the pigeon off the old,wonky branch. Whilst the colourful pigeon was flying off the edge he laid an egg.

The yellow, spotty giraffe shouted “HELP!” He had climbed a bare tree looking for lush, green leaves to scoff. When he had finally got down he could see a huge crowd, full of giggling kids. As soon as he saw that he roared “I hate you all, get out of my sight!!!!!!!!!” With that, the crowd fled in terror and the giraffe was peaceful again.

“Ahhhh!” screamed the giraffe. “Someone get that mouse away from me.” Gerrard the Giraffe made all the other Giraffe’s laugh.
Chuckling, Gilbert the Giraffe shouted to the others,
“I’m sure his dad was an elephant!”
